Hello,
My new laptop would discharge power over night when the USB cables plugged into screens.
I spent time on the phone to HP support and resinstalled certain drivers.
Unfortunately my laptop is still discharging power when switched off and usb cables attached to a docking hub & ethernet adapter.
Can anyone help?
Thank you,
Giovanni

Machine has at least 1 USB port which is for charging external devices (phones, tablets ....) when TOTALLY off. In your case, other attachment(s) would draw power from your machine (even machine is off). Please disconnect them when power off the machine first.
Did you know the RJ45 port (even a phone line) also draws power.
Regards.

Thank you Banhien for your answer.
Very strange that this cannot be turned on / off.
This is inconvenient especially if you dont want to pull your cables in / out each time .. and just want to switch off your docking station at the plug.
Oh well .. not a good HP feature.
Cheers,
Giovanni
