Hello everyone,
I would like to replace the bad original screen of the notebook in question (display Model no: B156XW04) with a more powerful one and with a wider Gamut coverage.
As suggested to other experienced users I first found the cable for non-Touchscreen models 762544-001:
https://www.ebay.it/itm/283180935113?ul_noapp=true
I then found this 72% gamut display:
https://www.ebay.it/itm/192896677169?ul_noapp=true
here all the technical features:

Can anyone confirm me the compatibility?
Thanks to anyone who can give me an answer.

The part number on the cable matches the part number for a full HD non-touch cable but the seller's description says not for Full HD??? Not sure what is going on. As long as the panel matches the layout of the factory FHD panel in terms of mounting holes, thickness, and most importantly connection pins, you can use it fine. However, you need a FHD capable cable and I am not sure that one you have works. If you are replacing a touchscreen with a non-touch screen you may also find that the plastic housing does not fit the new screen very well.
Good luck.

Thanks a lot for the answer!
I asked the seller and he didn't know how to answer, he only told me that the cable code corresponds. I thought the "non Full HD" referred to being compatible with natively HD ports.
Do you think it is possible to use the cable of the HP ENVY Notebook - 15-k201na, which instead is natively Full HD?

Hello Huffer,
I purchased and installed this cable correctly:
https://www.ebay.it/itm/Cavo-Flat-LCD-HP-Envy-15-P-15-K-15-V-Versione-NO-Touch-Full-HD/273925972187?... 3 AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
I then bought this display from England:
https://www.ebay.it/itm/144HZ-IPS-72-NTSC-15-6-FHD-LCD-Screen-B156HAN08-0-Display-EDP-40PIN-Replacem... 3AIT & _trksid = p2057872.m2748.l2649
Specifications here: http://www.panelook.com/B156HAN08.0_AUO_15.6_LCM_overview_34288.html
I connected it but didn't have any signs of life. I also thought at least the backlight lamp turned on, instead it was like it was turned off.
I thought it was a bad one.
I sent it back and ordered another one from Germany, specific to HP. This:
https://www.ebay.it/itm/HP-SPS-L24376-001-LED-Display-15-6-matt-1920x1080-Full-HD-144Hz-72-Gamut/173... 3AIT & _trksid = p2057872.m2749.l2649
Even this is the same as the first: no sign of life! Yet they are all with 40 PINs and 144 hz.
The cable and the connector work because the old display goes regularly.
I wonder: what kind of such serious compatibility problems can these panels have to not work?
Should I resign myself to keeping the old and poor display?
Thanks
