I've owned my 15" envy ultrabook for 6 years now. I love it, still works like a charm. Unfortunately a year and some month's into my purchase the left hinge snapped.
I contacted HP and all they offer was an outrageously expensive repair. Ive repaired this same issue 4 times now. Last night the snapped off again. 5th time.
After searching this community I am completely amazed at the inattention HP has given to this manufacturer defect.
I've read HP is offering a coupon. For what purpose? The problem continues to persist. User reports are starting to trickle in for hinge issues on 2018 Envy and Spectre laptops.
I don't know what to do anymore...

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information such as serial numbers and case details.
