HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ee0000na
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Envy has suffered the same hinge problem many people reported on this forum. I cannot contact anyone at HP who will help me get this repaired or replaced. I'm based in the UK and bought the laptop from the HP store a little over 2 years ago.

As this is clearly a manufacturing defect (evidenced by the volume of identical reports), I am entitled to one of the following as per https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/19/notes?view=plain#:~:text=Because%20the%20pro...

to be of satisfactory quality (section 9)
The short-term right to reject (sections 20-22)

The right to repair or replacement (section 23)

The right to a price reduction or the final right to reject (section 24)

Goods to be fit for particular purpose (section 10)
The short-term right to reject (sections 20-22)

The right to repair or replacement (section 23)

The right to a price reduction.

Please can someone from HP support reach out to get the repair/replacement process started? I will claim via small claims court if this is not resolved.

 Hi @envyHingeBroken,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that this is a Hardware issue. However, the support here is limited to software troubleshooting. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
