Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The HP Envy does not support any Windows 10 sleep states.  This means that you have to shut down Windows before placing it in your laptop bag, or it will heat up like a baked potato fresh out of the oven in the bag.  Can HP please create a firmware update for this device that supports the S3, S2, or S1 state, along with a firmware control for the lid switch?  This is a most unfortunate oversight in design.  It does support Hibernate, but Hibernate is a useless state that is slower than just shutting down, and it causes all kinds of NTFS file damage over time.  I checked the BIOS, there is nothing in the BIOS regarding sleep states, or any power functions at all.  Please help!

Envy 13 Laptop (not x360) appears to have same issue - energy report shows s1 s2 s3 not supported.  The laptop just gets hot and chews battery in sleep mode.   I'm shocked a new mid-level machine can't sleep.  Might have to return this machine and switch to back to lenovo if there is not a quick fix.
