The Esc key does work on my laptop. I have Windows 10.  The same works if I use an external keyboard. All other keys are working fine.

thanks

Hello, @Zarirhb – Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for reaching out! I’d like to help!

I see that you are having issues with the notebook keyboard where the "Esc" is not working properly.

First off, check http://hp.care/2eAwv2U and try following the steps listed under "Stuck notebook key" to try and fix the issue. Make sure to clean the keys to try and fix the issue.

If the issue still persists, I need to know whether the key works in the command prompt or not. Press Windows logo key + R to get the run window. Type cmd and press ok to get the command prompt window. Type t and see if that gives you any results.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Thank you and have a great day!

Cheers 🙂

Dear Dvortex,  Thanks so much.  I removed the key and cleaned it and it is now working, although it  has become very sensitive... only a slight touch is now required.  Is that normal?

Hello, @Zarirhb

Thanks for the update & Glad to know that you were able to fix the issue!

I wouldn't worry about the "Esc" key sensitivity. Use it for a couple of days or if needed, remove the key and then reinsert the same to reduce the sensitivity.

Thank you again and may you have a wonderful day and even better tomorrow 🙂
