So I had bought the HP 15q-ds0006tu Laptop a couple of months back. I have no issues with it. I thought of upgrading the RAM to improve performance since I use a lot of adobe softwares. I am confused about the specifications since the website says that it had come installed with a 4GB DDR4 RAM at a bandwidth of 2133 Mhz, but CPU-Z and RAMMon applications identify the installed RAM as having a bandwidth of 2666 Mhz. I am attaching some snapshots of the specifications of the laptop as seen on the website and the applications CPU-Z and RAMMon.
Here's the page showing the product specification:

So, which one is right? 2133Mhz or 2666Mhz?
What are the exact RAM specifications to look for when I buy a new RAM for this laptop? What is the maximum supported RAM for this model?

Hi:
Your notebook's processor can only run the memory at 2133 MHz.
Since your notebook is very new, 2666 MHz memory is what HP must have on hand for the newer notebooks that have the 8th, 9th and 10th generation core processors.
So what happens, is the 2666 MHz memory 'downclocks' or 'bridges' to 2133 MHz.
I would get another 2666 MHz memory chip just so it matches the specs of the one in there now.
Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.
I selected the site for India so you can see where you can get the memory you may be interested in.
You can see that they offer a lot of 2666 MHz memory modules.
Since your notebook has an Intel 7th gen processor, I would be leery about going with the 32 GB max specification.
Usually only notebooks with the 8th gen or newer processors can run 32 GB of memory.
From the list, I suggest this 16 GB kit if you want to install 16 GB.

If the 2400 MHz memory is cheaper you can get that instead.
