I got swollen battery in my laptop.. simulary to below link.
I hope for a battery replacement to minimize risk of exploding battery.
I will call this a wrong design from HP as there is no way to turn power off the battery for increase and protect against swollen by not always charging. There is something wrong in Windows that discharge the battery when internet is up running without ac adapter empty the battery quite hard, disable the internet and after a night still have 90% battery time..
Today its hard to get a working laptop working much longer with todays construction made for destruction and bad quality of battery so it limits working period just after a short time. They think that anyone with a broken laptop should buy same brand, not me, wrong design I avoid same bran

Hi Helge,
You have responded to my assistance in a passive aggressive tone.
No one can provide you with miracles or solutions that always make you happy.
My intent was to provide you with verifiable information and part numbers for compatible replacement battery, in a neutral tone.
Everything I have said to you can be factually verified.
I realize that there is the possibility that your understanding of English is not up to the level where you understood what I said.
If you do not want to replace the battery so as to not have to replace your laptop, that is your choice.
It will not matter which brand of laptop you purchase, all of them use the same battery technology.
I deduced that you were using a VPN by the words and keyboard type that you used.

Is your Omen laptop still within its warranty period? Free warranty is one year.
If not, you can have it done at a laptop shop or change it yourself.
It is highly recommended to not charge the laptop until you have the battery replaced!
I will try to locate a video on battery replacement in YouTube HP Support

Hi Helge,
This is not a store or a shop where you ask for a quote. This is the HP Community forum where people like myself, volunteer our free time to help other members. We are also forum members. You will have to ask a shop for a quote on that battery replacement. What is your location? Are you using a VPN?
"I should get the battery replaced, How should er ever trist battery in cars?
By a car läst year and dead today?!"
A battery in a car uses a different chemistry, as in lead-acid, except for Electric vehicles, which can be Lithium Ion. High end car batteries can have up to 5 year pro rated warranties. Laptop batteries are Lithium Ion composition. All laptop batteries are guaranteed for one year, industry wide. You are comparing apples to oranges.Trust your car battery.

recarding your answer is to trash the laptop or use it until it explode. There is no solution and no real help from HP ..
I liked my old laptop until now and result never ever a HP laptop and so never ever electric car there battery cost might be 50% of the car cost..
What else can I take as an answer of whatever you have written.
Thanks anyway for your help, avoid HP/DELL (from HELL) laptop ever.
Ok lives in Sweden.
