Hey there,

I have at the moment only 50gb of storage left on my laptop, and am wondering if I can increase the storage through any available empty storage slots or have to switch out for a new one?

I am also wondering if there is any expansions slots for more ram or would I need to buy larger ram?

I would appreciate if I am guided in the right directions of what brands to choose.

Thanks for your help

The specs of your machine is

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06684260

1. STORAGE: It has  512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD now. It has 2 M.2 NVMe slot therefore you can simply add one more M.2 drive using a standard M.2 NVMe drive. For example

              https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-970-evo-nvme-m2-500gb-mz-...

2. RAM: It has 16 GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB) now, both slots are in use. You can upgrade to 32GB or even 64GB using RAM from HP

                 2 sticks of 16 GB, DDR4-3200 part # L67710-001       (will run at 2933MHz)

or           https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/bl2k16g32c16s4b/ct19196288     (will run at 2933MHz)

or           https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k32g4sfd832a/ct19196320       (will run at 2933MHz)

Regards.

Thankyou for the response Banhien.

There have been multiple reviews stating that some laptops do not support xmp. Therefore not allowing the full speeds available from the ram.

Is this the case with my omen 15 laptop.

Kind Regards
