Hi everyone,

I bought a new 4k monitor but the refresh rate using HDMI connect hit refresh rate 30hz for the extended screen only.

My laptop doesn't have Display Port (DP). So I searched line, I bought another adapter HDMI to DP, to connect HDMI from my laptop, connect to DP at the 4k monitor, but it doesn't help as well.

Is there any chances to get my extended 4k monitor have 60hz refresh rate to avoid the lagging? The screen and mouse cursor is really lagged when moving around on the extended screen.

My main screen is still at 60hz refresh rate and very fine.  But the extended monitor screen is bad.

I searched other infor about output HDMI port version. Should be HDMI version 2.0 to support refresh rate 60hz? How can I search my laptop HMDI version?

Thanks in advance!

Soni

HDMI v1.4b supporting up to 1920×1080 @ 60Hz

So 4k is going to be a stretch and I am not surprised it only functions at 30 hz. Does no good to have ah HDMI to DP adapter as the output is still HDMI. Possible that a usb C port replicator with DisplayLink capability would do 4k at 60 hz and I believe they can.
