I want to upgrade the storage of a HP Laptop-(HP Laptop 15-bs0xx) with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.70 GHz processor, is it possible to insert a 2TB SSD in place of its HDD slot and another 2TB SDD in place of its Optical Drive? Is there any limit to how much storage I can upgrade this device?

Its specs

The good news is it has Intel® Core™ processor namely Intel® Core™ i5-7200U (2.5 GHz base frequency, up to 3.1 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 3 MB cache, 2 cores) therefore it supports DUAL storage with M.2 SATA SSD + 2.5" HDD/SSD therefore no need to use ODD.

It has 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA now. You can

  1. Add 1TB or 2TB M.2 SSD to your machine using compatible drive such as  https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/sata-ssd/ssd-860-evo-sata-3-m-2-1tb-mz-n6e1t0bw/
  2. Replace existing 1TB HDD with 1TB or 2TB 2.5" SSD using :  https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-860-evo-2-5--sata-iii-500...

You can upgrade 1 then 2 or BOTH in one go.

Regards.

Thank you for being so helpful. Nowadays there is rarely any use case left for the ODD for me that's why I want to replace this with an SSD. Can a 2TB SSD be inserted in place of the ODD?
