A few weeks ago my laptop gave error 90B. I noticed that the FANs were not working. I tried testing them one by one by disconnecting each other. Same result! I ordered two new compatible fans, with the same code as the old ones, on Aliexpress. I installed them but still the same error code! I tried disconnecting the battery, resetting it, turning on the computer, it showed me CMOS RESET.

I repeated the tests again, with the old fans and with the new ones. Same situation! I also did tests by disconnecting the HDD, RAM etc.

Any idea what it could be? Could it be related to some hardware damage, a damaged Fan Fuse?

Hi Resistencia,

Yes, I did all these steps, unfortunately nothing changed!

The idea of updateting the Bios is OK, but how to update it? The PC turns off for 15s. If I want to continue, without fans, I'm afraid I'll damage the CPU/GPU!

The problem is that you have to take a risk and update the BIOS with the fans turned off; otherwise, you'll have to take the laptop to a specialist.

Hi,

OK,

Bios updated to the latest version F26. In Bios, at Fans tab, I checked "Always ON". Still, fans are not spininig!

I think the fans are broken. Can you check if all the drivers are working in Device Manager?

I really wish these fans were broken! But I'm afraid there is something on motherboard level. Because the same result I got with a new pair of fans. Only if it's a coincidence that the new fans are also broken! As far as compatibility is concerned in this scenario, I made sure they had the same codes with the old ones.
