I HAVE AN INBUILT FINGER PRINTER SCANNER BUT ITS NOT WORKING PLEASE HOW DO I GET IT TO WORK?

I completely understand how frustrating it is when a great feature like an integrated fingerprint scanner suddenly stops working, especially when you just want a quick and secure way to log into your laptop. The most likely culprit here is a driver incompatibility, as the EliteBook 9470m was originally designed for older versions of Windows, and its hardware requires specific legacy drivers to communicate properly with Windows 11. To get it up and running, your best bet is to right-click the Start menu, open Device Manager, and look under Biometric devices. If you see a yellow warning triangle next to your Validity Sensors device, you will need to download and install the official HP Validity Fingerprint Sensor driver—often the Windows 10 version running in compatibility mode will do the trick—to help Windows 11 recognize the hardware again.
