The fan curves on these devices are overly aggressive for such loud fans. If unplugged and battery saver mode on w/ Command Center's "HP Recommended" it's tolerable if less than < 40C. Once plugged in or > 45C, it's irritating.
Allow one to customize the fan curves or set the fan to passive in power options (it's currently unavailable) or provide addional customization via command center.
Before anyone asks, it's updated. SpeedFan doesn't allow adjustment. Notebook Fan Controller is untested and use w/ caution (too many security workarounds).
Unrelated, I should have waited rather than ordering it in May - price dropped ~$100 (nvm supply chain delay) and the ordering/customization needs work (who knew Sure View had touch screen) -_-. Also the command center unreliably launches via hotkey.
Otherwise solid laptop :).
