Ever since I got my HP in September 2019, the fan has been very loud and sometimes it revs up to where it sounds like it's going to explode! Any laptop should *not* be making such a noise. I use it for work, so sending it in was not an option until this summer 2020. I had to send it in two times, because the first time I got it back after being "repaired", the sound was even WORSE! It sounded like the part they replaced was an old, used, clunky thing struggling to stay alive. So now, in addition to the "airy" noise I was originally experiencing, it sounded like some sort of clanking was going on inside, and CONSTANTLY now. It makes me wonder what random old parts they have lying around and just pop into people's laptops as a "quick fix" - but really, not a fix at all - just to say they did their job for the day and send the laptop back to fill a daily quota of "repairs". So I sent it back a second time. This time I included a long note in the shipping box pleading with them to repair it as if it is their own device... would they be happy working on it if it wasn't fully resolved? I also urged them to contact me if there were any issues with not being able to fully resolve it... I didn't hear anything - just got an email notification saying it was repaired and would be sent back to me. Well, what do you know? I turn it on, and the issue is still not fixed! Though in their report, it says they administered "extensive testing". Really? I paid $1000 for this laptop, and it is nowhere near the quality that it should be. I was tired of speaking to people over the phone, who really have no leverage in ensuring it gets the repairs it needs - they're just the "messengers" who file the case and send you the box for shipping to a random repair place that is contracted out by HP. So I went to the online chat service on the HP site. I was met with a rude and passive individual He did not answer my questions, and went ahead and ordered a shipping box for me and cut and paste a message explaining that it will be sent in for repairs... Well I have lost faith in that service! I told him this and that I wanted my case to be escalated now. I see in the shipping information that it is just going back to the exact same place for repair... He ended the conversation abruptly and told me to call the help line to get answers there... why is he passing this off? Is he not trained to SUPPORT, as the service is so called? This is ridiculous. These people don't care about HP clients and their satisfaction. I am sick and tired and cannot bear to be working on a computer that is now even worse than before, at the hands of people are supposed to FIX problems. Not CREATE new ones. Anyone have any advice for me?
