Okay I need to resolve this because it's extremely annoying. The fan on my laptop is ALWAYS running. I have 24gb RAM. The CPU will be 0-20% but the fan is just running the entire time. It will run loud and non stop even when I have no windows open and my laptop is just sitting idle on the desktop screen.

There has to be a way to fix this because it's just insanely annoying at this point.

Did this just start to happen, or has it always done it?

1. Ensure the fan and fins are clean.

2. See if your bios is up to date.

3. Go into bios and look for "fan always on when plugged in" is on, if so, turn it off.

It's happened since the day I got the laptop 10 months ago. Bought it brand new from Best Buy.

Fans are clean. BIOS is up to date. "Fan always on" is set to "off"

Any other ideas what it could be??

Still no answer to this. I bought a laptop stand to let the laptop have more space between it and my desk and the stand also HAS FANS. Laptop still runs loud.

This is ridiculous
