I opened my HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg3020na (800R3EA) this morning and heard a loud snapping sound, the screen has started to come away and it appears the part of the back has came of and is exposing a wire.

I’m not sure who to contact on this matter.

Hello Naomi58,

Thank you for posting your concern,

I do apologise for issues on  HP Pavilion Laptop, it is recommended to contact HP Support for assistance. This could potentially be a hardware issue that needs professional attention. HP Support can guide you through the process of repair or replacement if necessary. You can reach out to HP Support through the following methods:

  1. HP Support Website: Visit the HP Support page and enter your product details to find support options.

  2. Phone Support: Depending on your region, you can call HP's customer service for immediate assistance. The contact number can be found on their support website.

  3. Authorized Service Providers: You may also consider taking your laptop to an authorized HP service center near you.

Make sure to have your serial number and product number available when contacting support for efficient assistance. If your laptop is still under warranty, this could expedite repair or replacement services.

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
