I installed the F.31 bios and now my keyboard is slow and non-responsive and the touchpad doesn't work. updating drivers don't work. I have read possible solutions here such as rolling back the bios but that doesn't work for my system. nothing has and I'm forced to use the on-screen keyboard which also quits working after a while. Any chance there will be an update to the bios anytime soon to fix this?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I would like to inform you that you will not be able to downgrade the BIOS or do a BIOS rollback as the BIOS version F.31 has a security update.
As you have mentioned that the touchpad and keyboard are not working correctly after updating the BIOS, I recommend you download and install HP support assistant from the below link and install all the updates.
Download link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp79001-79500/sp79243.exe
Here is how it is done.
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Perform any other update management actions as needed.
Postpone an update: Click Remind me, and then select a time preference.
Delete an available update: Click the Delete icon
to remove the update from the list and record it in the action log.Review updates status: Click Action log below the list to view installed, postponed, or deleted updates.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
