Fire and blast on HP Laptop G62

My HP laptop G62 went on fire when its battery blasted & bust in flames. The splinters hit more than 3feet high and hit adjacent walls and floors. It set the table and contents around on fire. My fingers got burnt, Laptop damaged, contents damaged including my phone, furniture and flooring damaged. Have you experienced the same. How did you report and got compensated. Should I consult a lawyer.
