HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 14-ea0000 (1Q877AV)

Hi there!

I recently bought this new HP Spectre x360 14 laptop.  As a new user I have been following the 40%-80% rule in charging my PC to prolong battery life however, I use my laptop at least 6-8 hours in a day.

1.  Is it safe to frequently charge my laptop to maintain the 40/80 rule for my battery  in a day?

2. Should I keep my laptop plugged in even if the battery charge reaches to 80%? Will it not affect the battery health?

3. How often should the laptop be charge in a day?

Hope anyone from HP answer my questions...

Thanks!

Welcome to HP Support Community

I would like to help

Since nowadays Notebooks are using Lithium Ion Batteries you do not have to worry about frequency of charging the Battery or leaving the Battery charged while working

Since you using it continuously for 8 hrs, you can leave it plugged in

Thank you
