I purchased a HP G5 Docking station in the hopes I could charge the Notebook and connect my display and other items. The only item visible through the G5 docking station is my external storage device and keyboard. I have tried updating the drivers. Is my Notebook compatible with the G5 docking station to it's full extent that I can charge my Notebook and run the display?

The specs of the dock

and the specs of your machine
https://support.hp.com/za-en/document/c06447661
You can work this out why the dock won't charge your machine: the USB-C port on your machine does not support Power Delivery. Your machine only has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s) port.
Regards.
