Hey my gpu has a set temperature limit of about 75 degrees celsius. After reaching this temperature the gpu slows down and i cant play my games anymore. Unfortunately i cant set the temp limit with nvidia inspector because it is locked in vbios of gpu i think! Can someone provide me the bios (.rom) of my GPU so i can flash it myself?

Mx 250 - 10DE-1d13

Bios: 86.08.2A.00.7C

Update:

There is a tool that attempts to extract a VBIOS from a bios update

Laptops with NVIDIA Optimus graphics often have the dGPU VBIOS integrated in their system BIOS, this makes extracting the VBIOS a complicated process. Provided you have a BIOS Update for your laptop, this tool might be able to automagically extract all available VBIOS from it.

Ok i found out that the vbios is contained in the system Bios? Could a Moderator edit the system bios for a higher temperature limit of the gpu and hand it out to me?

Hey i updated my thread!

So can you provide me a Bios update with higher gpu temp limit?

Why do the fps drop (from 120 to 50) after about 15 minutes?

@TheRealKrypton

Please follow the below steps and check.

Right-click your desktop background and select NVIDIA Control Panel. You can also find this tool by performing a Start menu (or Start screen) search for NVIDIA Control Panel or by right-clicking the NVIDIA icon in your system tray and selecting Open NVIDIA Control Panel.

To quickly set a system-wide preference, you could use the Adjust image settings with the preview option. For example, if you have old hardware that struggles to play the games you want to play, you may want to select “Use my preference emphasizing” and move the slider all the way to “Performance.” This trades graphics quality for an increased frame rate.

By default, the “Use the advanced 3D image settings” option is selected. You can select Manage 3D settings and change advanced settings for all programs on your computer or just for specific games. NVIDIA keeps a database of the optimal settings for various games, but you’re free to tweak individual settings here. Just mouse-over an option for an explanation of what it does.

If you have a laptop with NVIDIA Optimus technology — that is, both NVIDIA and Intel graphics — this is the same place you can choose which applications will use the NVIDIA hardware and which will use the Intel hardware.

(Though the header is different the steps will help get you a fix).

Also, please update the BIOS.

Have a nice day!!

@TheRealKrypton If the issue persists, after performing all the steps suggested so far, we may be looking at a hardware malfunction and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
