ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

hi all,

I'm trying to upgrade my gpu on the my laptop. I'm currently using the Envy TS 15 Notebook pc. I still don't whether my gpu is soldered or replaceable. If it's replaceable, I'm looking forward for the Geforce 840m, anyone know is it compatible with my laptop or is there any better or best upgrade that I can do with my laptop? (I'm currently using the intel 4600hd). Thank you

Hi:

The GPU is an integral part of the motherboard.

The only way to upgrade the GPU would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in your notebook's service manual that comes with better graphics.

You would also have to replace the heat sink as well to accommodate the more powerful nVidia graphics adapter.
