Hi @VamshiGupta,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing electric shocks while using your HP laptop, it could be a sign of a grounding issue or a problem with the laptop's power supply.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Make sure that your laptop's power cord is properly plugged into both the laptop and the power outlet. Check for any frayed or damaged wires.
  • Try using a different power outlet to see if the issue persists. If it does, then the problem is likely with the laptop itself.
  • Check to see if your laptop's power supply is properly grounded. You can do this by examining the three-pronged plug and making sure that it is properly inserted into the outlet.

In the meantime, to prevent electric shocks, you can try using an anti-static wrist strap or mat while using your laptop. These devices can help dissipate any static electricity that may build up on your body and prevent it from passing through to the laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
