States 'boot device not found' please install an operating system on your hard drive

Can anyone guide me what I need to do?

@27gill,

I moved this to the proper forum category.  You did not speficy the exact model number of the laptop.  Some of these go way back, (VIsta OS), so you need to clarify the original OS, also.

I'm facing same problem  ! but my operating system is of 64-bit. this error is occured when i replaced my old disk to new hard disk.
