HP Pavilion x360 14-cd1023nb
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The HP Pavilion x360 14-cd1023nb has a 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD and this is a bit small.
1. Is in this laptop a second slot for another 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD or more?
2. Is there a slot for a normal SSD or HDD 2 5 inch of 1TB or TB (or smaller)?
Thanks.

Here's the Service Manual:

Manual

Start on p. 33 to access the internals and you see this inside:

M.2 slot circled in redM.2 slot circled in red

There is only one M.2 slot as shown circled in red. Memory is under a heat shield to the right of that in green box and the hard drive is right under the M.2 slot.

So there is a place to put a 2.5 inch HDD or SSD for additional storage but you also have to buy these parts:

Hard drive rubber sleeve for use in full-featured plus models L18226-001
Hard drive foil L20549-001
Hard drive cable L18218-001

The foil is optional. Nice to have but not absolutely needed. These parts can be hard to locate and expensive. But so far we have been able to find them in just about any market.

You might actually find it easier and less expansive to just replace the 256 gig NVME M.2 with a 1 TB model.

Even though the Manual lists some specific sized disks there is no limit. You can buy and install a 2.5 inch or M.2 disk of any capacity you can find and budget will allow.

Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Thank you.
So, I need the hard drive rubber sleeve for use in a full-featured plus model L18226-001 and not the hard drive rubber gasket for a full-featured model L18225-001.

I think either one can be made to work but since you have dedicated graphics yours is a full featured plus model. You might have to trim the other part a bit with an Xacto knife to get it to fit just right but these are very flexible rubber sleeves so can kind of be forced to fit.

It’s not defficult to find a hard drive cable L18218-001, but is not easy to find:

* Hard drive rubber sleeve for use in full-featured plus models L18226-001
* Hard drive foil L20549-001

Do you have any suggestions?

The foil you can do without and as I said if you can find the "full featured" sleeve it can be made to work or really any other HP rubber hard drive sleeve. The critical thing is the cable. If you plan to use an SSD you can even get by without the sleeve just attach it in the bay with double sided tape. Since there are no moving parts the rubber sleeve is not important for an SSD.

I made up my mind. I think it is best not to spend money in buying a rubber sleeve and a foil and to spend the saved money in a SSD 2,5 inch as second hard drive and a drive cable L18218-001 only. Thank you very much for helping me.
