I have to replace the 2T hard drive.  Laptop has "Optane".  What modifications would I have to change to a 1TB SSHD.

Optane is a tiny card that fits in an M.2 slot.  It would be physically impossible to replace it with an SSHD.

You could  actually replace the Optane SSD with  a 1TB  PCIe, NVMe, 2280, M.2 solid-state drive.

That would be a serious upgrade.

There is a thread where another member did exactly that.
