Hello,

i am interested in buying an usb-Type-C-Hub so i can link my monitor to my laptop. I read that my usb-c port needs to support display transfer and i am not sure if it does. So my question is does my usb c port supports display transfer or not.

Regards

Hello @Xetonic

Unfortunately, your USB-C port is data only, no HDMI or DisplayPort capability. A Hub will not change any of that either.

https://support.hp.com/ro-en/document/c05819924

But it does have an HDMI port that can be adapted to one of the other digital connectors on what ever monitor you have. Will that not work? If not, perhaps you can explain exactly what you are doing so I can help.

Hello @Photoray002

thank you very much. You are right i have an HDMI port and that one will work just fine.

But i have a second monitor and i was hoping that there was a way to use that one too. I could use some device to change a usb 3.0 to hdmi but i hoped i could do it some other way.

A powered USB graphics converter is the only other way you'll be able to do it, yes.
