Hello I want to upgrade HDD to SSD. Will you please help me with type of SSD my laptop can support? 2.5 SATA OR M.2 NVME

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.
If your notebook has a M.2 slot the slot only supports SATA M.2 SSD's not NVMe.
I recommend that if you want to install a M.2 SATA SSD, that you check to make sure the M.2 slot is there before buying one.
Many HP notebooks from that time period only had the M.2 slot if the PC came with a M.2 SSD from the factory.
A M.2 SATA SSD would perform exactly the same as a 2.5" SATA SSD if you bought the same brand/model offered in both M.2 and SATA form factors.
