I have an HP 15-BS033CL laptop that has no power when connected to the lcd screen. If I disconnect the video cable from the screen then the dc power jack lights up and the laptop works perfectly fine when connected to an external monitor through HDMI. I replaced the screen with a known working screen and no power and no power light at the dc port. Disconnect the screen and it lights up and will power on. I also purchased a new video cable thinking that was the issue but same symptoms. No blinking lights or beeps either..
Any ideas out there?

Welcome to HP support community.
Update the Bios and Chipset driver using HP Support Assistant.
Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Let me know how it goes.

Bios has been updated as well as all drivers and still the same. Once the lcd cable is connected to the laptop and the screen no power is shown where the ac adapter plugs into but once the lcd cable is disconnected from the laptop or the lcd screen it shows power and boots up like normal. This is with 2 different lcd cables and 3 different lcd screens. Frustrating that my laptop is now basically worthless after such a short life.
