Hi,

 

I want to upgrade this lapop's HDD to an SSD.

 

Usually straightforward I know but I've read there is a software issue and it fails to boot.

Is this correct or should I just download all the HP drivers and Intall Windows 10 a per normal?

Hi,

 

I've done this many times each year and the simplest way is

 

(a) Clone the existing HDD to SSD using cloning software (may free around),

(b) Swap HDD and SSD,

(c) Re-use HDD as an external HDD (or backup).
