I want to know if I can put more memory in the HP 15-bs212wm 15.6" Laptop? and if so to what capacity?

Hi:

 

Since your model comes with the Celeron N4000 processor, the memory cannot be upgraded.

 

You are at the max of 4 GB.

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.  The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1 on pages 2 & 3.

This is incorrect, I have upgraded mine to 8gb ddr4 PC-2400, as long as you stay with PC-2400 it will be okay, there is another SO-DIMM slot on the underside of the motherboard as well, i've found 8gb is the most it can handle.

Then I suggest you write HP and tell them that the information in the service manual is incorrect, because this is what is shown in chapter 1 on pages 2 & 3....
