in the menial you have removal and replacement of memory it shouldn't be this hard to get a straight answer AND IS THER A M.2 slot

As I've mentioned earlier the RAM circuit is mounted on the motherboard, 

 

Next thing, I would suggest here is to go through the Maintenance and Service guide of your HP notebook, and found that your PC supports One M.2 slot for the solid-state drive.

The memory or ram module is not mounted, only the base is mounted.
