Here's how to resolve the Elan touchpad issue on your HP 14-dk1006ns laptop after updating to Windows 10 version 22H2:
Uninstall the Current Elan Touchpad Driver:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Right-click on Elan Touchpad and choose Uninstall device.
- Check the box that says Delete the driver software for this device, then click Uninstall.
- Restart your laptop.
Download the Latest Driver from HP:
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your product name.
- Select Windows 10 (64-bit) as your OS.
- Look under the Driver - Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices section for the latest Elan Touchpad Driver.
- Download and install the driver.
- Restart your laptop again.
I need assistance with this same issue on a HP 15 with S/N: 1H85475T0F running Windows 11 25H2. I've done all the above to no avail.
