HP 15m-BP112DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I recently got the HP Envy X360 15m-BP112DX Notebook and it is equipped with a 1TB Hard Drive. I have seen that other models of this same Notebook come with SSD options. I would like to know if there is a free SSD slot in my Notebook where I can install a new SSD. If yes, can you please specify the details of the compatible SSDs.

Note: The reason I want to perform this upgrade is because this Notebook is quite powerful and I feel that the only thing holding it back is the Hard Drive. It's usually at 100% utilization when checked in the task bar and sometimes simple tasks like opening a folder in sub partition of the hard drive takes a couple of seconds.

Thanks.

Hey,

Thanks a lot. I managed to get the required drive and my friend helped installing it since it's a new Notebook and I'm not very comfortable opening it myself. Just as a note I would also like to mention that since the addition of the new drive, there is a considerable improvement. I went with the 360GB NVMe SDD. I am also planning to replace the included HDD with a SATA SSD soon.

Hi, So does it have 2 hard drive slots?

Hopefully this will help me too. I have this same laptop and the HDD died. It's only a year old. 🙁 Maybe I can replace it.
