Just curious which cards I should be looking at if my laptop is upgradable for that. I've already upgraded ram and storage and would like to do my wifi I currently have Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (1x1) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 wireless card MU-MIMO supported; Miracast® compatible

There's really not much you can do to upgrade since that model card only comes with one antenna wire and there is only one better card I can think of that will work with only one antenna wire and that is this one.
Realtek Wi-Fi 6 RTL8852BE-VS + Bluetooth 5.3 HP part # N26166-005
What I don't know is if it will work in your specific model notebook because there is only the service manual for the older 17-by0xxx model series and that model card is not listed.
HP 17 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide
They are available on eBay if you want to experiment with one.

If you want to do the work of adding a second antenna wire, then you may as well 'shoot the moon' and experiment with this card:
Intel BE200 M.2 2230 Wi-Fi 7 + Bluetooth 5.4 non-vPro WW WLAN module HP part #/Intel SPS# N39883-005.

Yeah, I dont mind the extra work. Im always tearing up things and putting things together so I actually quite enjoy it. I just wanted to make sure I could. I didnt think there was anything that would stop me other than me and/or the card not being compatible, but I always order off Amazon so if I order wrong (like I did with my screen) or if somethings not compatible I can send it back and get something different.

There's always that one-off chance that a particular Wi-Fi card may not work when based on the specs of the PC, it should.
But to the best of my knowledge the notebook does not have a BIOS whitelist and since the model series comes with Intel processors and chipsets, the BE200 should work.
The only Intel cards that probably won't work in your notebook are those on the list at the link below, and any Intel vPro card.
What Are the Intel® Integrated Connectivity (CNVi) and Companion RF...
You would only be able to install a CNVI card if the notebook came with one from the factory, and it would have to be the same model.
In other words, an AX211 CNVI wouldn't work if you tried to upgrade from the AX201 CNVI.
