Hello,
I bought laptop from Bulgaria store-HP provider.Its HP 250 G5 W4N45EA or the one with 1.6GHz Braswell CPU/128 SSD.
I noticed that there is no fan. When i checked if theres air going from the outlet i saw that theres plastic thing on the place of the fan,but still no fan. Is this how it supposed to be?Since the laptop has waranty how can i install a fan there?
The laptop has not been opened or something like that.
Regards!

Hi:
Yes, the notebooks with Pentium or Celeron processors do not come with cooling fans.
Don't ask my why. The hardware engineers decided that a fan isn't necessary for those processors.
I understand the notebook's run a bit hot when under load.
Can you add a fan? That I do not know. The 250 g5 service manual has a part number for a fan but, I would have no idea if you can simply add one, and if it would do any good.
And yes, you will void the warranty by modifying the engineering design.

Hello,
Thank you for the fast reply!
It's a bit strange running a laptop with no fan installed. The problem is that the temperatures are high like 43-49C where I am at the moment and the laptop gets hot pretty quickly.I don't think it will comprehend that. The worst part is that even with cooling pad there are no inlets for air at the bottom.Im kinda in dead situation and i wanna have some propper cooling on that laptop. If you have any suggestions my eyes are open!
Kind Regards!

You're very welcome.
Yes, I think that was not a good decision to not include a fan.
Basically they are treating a 15.6" notebook like a cell phone or 8" tablet!
Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas about how to cool the notebook (unless you only use it in a refrigerated space).

Yes,I already have phone that hits 50C I dont want another...I guess im just gonna order a fan and make the service shop add it.Im engineer aswell, but so far from my practise I've noticed that even if you dont need something better put it so you wont have problems.....
