Hello,
I bought my HP 250 G6 Notebook in November last year (5 months ago).
Ever since the purchase the power supply has been making a high pitch noise. I was hoping that the noise would go away, but it hasn't and is very irritating when trying to work on the laptop all day in a quiet place.
I am happy to share an audio recording of the noise.
Any suggestions for how to solve the problem? Can I have the power supply replaced?
Thanks
Boris

Not by the Forum but if you make a warranty claim a whiny AC adapter is defective and should be replaced and they should just send you one. If for some reason you do not get satisfaction we can help you find one to buy for $30 US or less.
Let us know where you live (country).

Thanks for your super-fast reply.
I am from the UK and bought a laptop (brand new) from a reputable retailer.
I tried he HP technical support webpage, but struggling to get through the "Identify your product" page https://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/detect?source=contact
The [Identify] process reports "HP could not identify your product".
Entering the product manually, I get "More than one result is associated with the serial number entered: ..." followed by "Product name not available", even though the website shows the laptop with Active warranty status.
[Show options] only shows this forum, hence I logged the query here.

I knd of figured it was something like that. OK we at the Forum have no access to the HP Support backend. However, I can throw a red flag up to a Moderator who can bring in the HP employees who can help. Be patient with the process.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.
