Hi,

 

I have en HP 250 G7 Notebook Laptop with an i5-8265U configuration and I would like to know if an 32 Gb (16 + 16) RAM configuration can be mounted on it.

 

I have found several threads with information but some says yes and others no

 

For example for this HP 250 G7 with i7 worked

This one would fit more with my situation, with an i5 but he didnt confirm the final result if done

 

 
However when looking for compatible memories on Crucial and kinston they say the maximum is 16 Gb (8 +8 ) and dont even offer a 16 Gb on their websites
 
 
Crucial even specifies:  "*Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory."
 
Currently I have an 8 Gb single configuration and thinking between an upgrade of 16 Gb (8+8) or 32 (16+16) since I have to work with virtual machines and I am in the need of more resources, but not sure if mounting an 32 configuration will be excessive and finally a waste.
 
Any comments or help is welcome

Hi,

 

I bough a Crucial SO-DIMM DDR4 2400 PC4-19200 16GB CL17 for trial, installed it yesterday and it is working perfectly.

 

Configutarion 32 Gb (16+16) it is supported for HP 250 G7 i 5-8265U CPU.
