In case someone wonders, I replaced DVD drive with DVD caddy with installed old Samsung HDD. Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management software and HWinfo software show that DVD connector on the motherboard runs with Sata II speed, 3 GB/s.

Yep, just installed 2 modules CT16G4SFRA266 by Crucial, 16 GB each, 32 GB in total. It works.
