hp 255 g5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP 255 g5 notebook AMD E2-7110 APU with AMD Radeon R2 Graphics 1.80Ghz.
My question is can I add more RAM, and what RAM can I add to this laptop. The specifications say that the RAM is non upgradable and not user-acessible, does that mean that I add but not modify the RAM it came with? Or does it mean that I just can't add more RAM. I'm confused because it also said 16gb max RAM at the bottom. And if I can buy, which one ? Does it take 2GB modules or 4... It'sDDR3L and it says up to 1600MT/s .. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help me out 🙂

Hi,

Manual: Page 9, 46, 47

Upto 16gb max - you could put two 8gb sticks max, of exact same configuration, speed and voltage as given in the Manual and each other.

DDR3L PC3L 12800 1600MHz 1.35V SO-DIMM SDRAM

Like this:

Non customer accessible/upgradeable means if you do it yourself and breaks something in the process, the warranty will get void.

It does not need major disassembly, I think you could do it yourself with the help of the video posted above.
