Good Day,

I would like to find out if my HP530 can take one 1GB ram card and one 2GB. Or can it only be two x 1GB or two by 2GB ram cards?

Kindest Regards

Eldon

Hi

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01039180

The manual lists these.....

Memory module

1024-MB, 667-MHz, PC2-5300, 1-DIMM409060-001

  512-MB, 667-MHz, PC2-5300, 1-DIMM447518-001

  256-MB, 667-MHz, PC2-5300, 1-DIMM447517-001

So I think not.

Hi Lil_Boy_Blue,

Thank for the reply,

I did however went onto Hp's website and had a look at the laptop's specs. https://h10057.www1.hp.com/ecomcat/hpcatalog/specs/provisioner/05/FH526AA.htm

It indicates that it is upgradable to 2048 MB maximum per slot, but I an not quite sure how. Can you perhaps, if you have a chance look into how this can be accomplished?

Kindest Regards

Eldon

Hi

Find a vendor, use Crucial, Kingston et al to recommend any suitable upgrades.
