Hi Guys,

Recently i have pop out msg when start the window.

I have few question below. Hope you guys can quote and answer accordingly.

1. Are my laptop pavilion 15 CK063TX using battery model TF03XL  ? I disassemble before and saw this on battery, i assume its only 1 type of this battery model, but fit multiple laptop model such as pavillion 14" etc.

2. If i do not change this battery, and till this spoil, can i turn on my laptop with AC? - As battery price is high, 15% of my laptop value, i dont really use it portable.

3. Can i remove my laptop internal battery and use AC?

I used HP assistant  and it said my primary battery very weak and need replace

Upon startup, a screen pops up and says:

HP Battery Alert

The system has detected the storage capacity of the battery stated below to be very low.  For optimal performance the battery may need to be replaced.

I recommend you stick to HP Spare Part number 920070-855 when searching for the battery online, not TF03XL.

Furthermore, you can find parts through the HP Parts Store. You'll find the majority of parts available there but it's common for them to be back-ordered or unavailable. HP also lists authorized parts partners if you navigate around in the link above.

As for the unreliable part, yeah, I was referring to the fact that the power cord would have to be secured at all times. Furthermore, the AC adapter may fail in the future so please be cautious.

Hope that helps.

Hello @-EK-,

The HP Pavilion - 15-ck063tx uses a 3-cell, 41-WHr, 3.6-AHr, Li-ion battery with HP Spare part number 920070-855. Searching TF03XL online does seem to bring up battery purchasing options with HP Spare part number 920070-855.

If you can't replace the battery, you can choose to simply continuously connect the device to the power cord. Removing the internal battery isn't really necessary as you can just keep the power cord plugged in all the time. Please note that this is quite unreliable and may lead to lost work in the future if the battery isn't replaced.

Kind regards,

Eddy

Hi Eddy,

Thanks for reply. i just wonder why they have multiple code like below.

920046-541 (my laptop) , when i search online alot is 920046-421 , but both have a similar sticker link to 920070-855

I wonder why have so many part number for same thing? or they are different?

OK maybe i will not remove my battery and use AC.

What you mean by unreliable and may lead lost of work?

As long my AC is running,i think it will not lead to lost of work right?

Only possible if my electric trip (AC didnt get power and pc shut down)

Yeah, parts are usually unavailable on the HP Parts Store unfortunately so you'll have to look online for resellers or third parties.

Best of luck.

Eddy
