Thank You! I had the new screen with a new cable. I have the old cable with the old screen.  I also had the new screen with the old cable. No difference. Brightness is full. The brightness on the laptop doesn't change the brightness on the external monitor.
The moment I plug in the External monitor it lights up fine.  Do all the screws 17 of them holding the bottom in place all have to be screwed in?
What about Uninstall  Display adapters Intel (R) HD Graphics?  Keyboard combinations to switch between the laptop screen and the External one? BIOS Update?
Both screens seem to be acting about the same. Not enough brightness. It's possible the new screen is bad? or not compatible?!? Anythings possible. Both  LCD cables could be bad or both screens.
Please advise. Raphael
I'll wait until you respond before I contact the Seller.

I don't know what the OEM part number is for the screen. And I don't know if the seller would have a clue or not either? They said it should work and there was never any discussion about part numbers. They had more expensive screens. That are Brand HP that were discontinued in September 15th 2011. Another screen they listed: https://www.amazon.com/HP-PAVILION-G7-1150US-Laptop-1600x900/dp/B005NBP6N2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=S13TJPBM0... And this one https://www.amazon.com/Pavilion-G7-1150US-Laptop-Screen-1600x900/dp/B006P4CPXK/ref=sr_1_8?crid=S13TJ...

Huffer,
What do you make of these suggestions?
Updating Firmware, Chipset, BIOS and so on.

Thing is the computer came with Windows 7 64 bit. It Windows 10 Home 64 bit now.  So, if needed I'm not sure where to find these?

Step 2: Connecting an external monitor to test the displays.
3. If an image displays on the external monitor, there might be a graphics driver conflict with the notebook LCD display. With the external monitor connected, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads. Download and install the latest graphics and chipset drivers for your specific computer. If an updated BIOS version is available, see Updating the BIOS for steps to install it.
