I purchased a HP Care Pack Service Agreement on 2/22/2016 (through HP) and its good through 2/27/2018. The HP Care Pack covers accidental damage/breakage. My 45watt power adapter is sparking and I'm afraid to plug it into the wall socket. The Care Pack agreement gives me a # to call and a web site; both no longer work. When I called the HP support line (obtained via the internet), they tell me the product is no longer under standard warranty. This is true, but the HP Care Pack that I purchased is still in effect as an extended warranty. When I put in my machine's serial # within the HP website, the results ]shows coverage still in place for another two months. However, for some reaosn the HP support staff can't see the HP Care Pack agreement. Is there a complaint line I can go to; as I cant use the Chromebook without another power adapter and I feel slighted that I purchased a HP Care Pack for which no one seems to be able to locate in their system (I can locate it within the HP Total Care site when I put in the product serial #). I'm very frustrated. Thanks Eric

I know the Carepacks do not cover the battery but should cover the AC adapter. I will try to escalate this for you since I cannot provide any warranty replacement.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
