HP Chromebook - 14-db0030nr
Chrome OS

Hi, the warranty on one of the Chromebooks that we have in our school has expired. It had a 3 year Care Pack warranty on it. It is currently randomly freezing or rebooting. I have several others that have done the same thing and everyone of them have been sent back to HP for a replacement motherboard. I see that HP does not sell the motherboard and I would like to know of a good source for getting a reliable replacement for it.

Thanks in advance.

Bill

You may find videos online with tutorials on the system board replacement. If I find one, I will return and post it here.

The part number for the system board is L51319-001

My source reference is the HP PartSurfer, for your specific Chromebook 5VD66UA System SKU, using the system SKU for your specific ChromeBook.

Vendor sources

The system board is quite inexpensive @ $130.00 USD. It is sold by many vendors, including Amazon.com, which has a remarkably efficient return protocol.
