Product: HP CompaqLA2205wg
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I recently acquired an HP Compaq LA2205wg monitor from my work for free. I want to try to connect it to my laptop. I have a displayport to HDMI link cable to connect the two, but neither my laptop nor the monitor are recognizing the signal/input of the other. I don't think it is the cable as I just bought it and it is brand new. Any advice on how to get the two to connect would be beneficial.
