I agree with quilava that hide is not the best option, but it is the only thing we can do until Microsoft of HP fixes the issue to keep Windows Update from repeatedly trying to install a driver that fails to install. Before long the update history would be extremely long with examples of the failed install. Odd that one or the other could not figure out the problem.

Dear CherylG!
I have been in contact with MA - and no: it's not a trouble with their programs that cause this!
It's more likely a new trouble caused by that AMD!
I find this "AMD" so terribly bad that I will NEVER ever buy a machine with this stupidities again!
(I have now been three times to service with this machine... for trouble caused by AMDs crappy updates - they also includes all kinds of ads and other software when one update I dont want so I really hope and think HP as such sould not sell or even produce machines with any AMD components!!)
A lot of Swedish companies have already begun not to buy any CPUs with AMDs components!
So I hope HP will fix this!
I have tried the "solutions" MS have (troubleshoting mostly) but the trouble reapears after one second or so!
Very best from Mike in Sweden!

AMD and its components are not related to this specific problem.
Also, I'd like to say we are no more in the year 2000, and AMD components quality is outstanding, in a way I recomment AMD for new PC builds, especially for Linux users.
