Hello and good evening,

 

I need help again!

 

Today, my laptop, HP ENVY 17-ce1135ng, gets the message to change the CMOS-battery. 

Do you know, which one it is (only a battery or with cables or ...)? And then, where I can get it? I've looked on the HP-websites, the shop, where I bought it, and so on - but nothing...

 

Please help me!

Hi, Claudia:

 

You can download the service manual for the model series from this site at the link below.

 

HP ENVY 17-ce0000 | Maintenance and Service Guide

 

According to the parts list in chapter 3 and the removal and replacement procedures in chapter 5, there is no CMOS/RTC battery.

 

The main internal battery also serves as the CMOS battery to maintain the BIOS and system clock settings.

 

You may have to replace the main battery to resolve the problem.
