I brought my HP ENVY Laptop 13 about 6 months ago, it is still under warranty.
It is seldom use, but found the battery is draining very fast. Even I have it fully charged before power off, and left for 2 days unuse, the battery drained to very low percentage and it cannot be boot up without the power plugged in.
It looks like might be battery is having issue. Since it is under warranty, will you be able to send in the replacement battery?
Thanks,
Janice

Hello @JW138
Thanks for reporting.
This looks good.
(1) Change power mode
How to change power mode on Windows 11
See section <Change power mode via Settings on Windows 11>
Set <Best power efficiency> (saves energy by reducing the device performance when possible.)
(2) Restart Windows

HI Ub6424,
I updated the <Change power mode via Settings on Windows 11> to Set <Best power efficiency>, then rerun the battery test. The result is the same as the previous test, it is reported as Normal, and the Adaptive Battery Optimizer is Enabled/Activated.
Your other post mentioned: This means your battery status in Windows shows 100%, but the battery is adapatively charged only to what is set in the bios, less e.g. 80%.
I am not sure if I understand the next step to do. Please specify. thanks.

Hello @JW138
Well, now just use your notebook and observe how long the battery lasts on average. Depending on what you do and how intensively you do something, the runtime will of course vary, but it should be better than before.
Please report back after some time.
Kind regards
